Blancaneaux Lodge By Francis Ford Coppola is a 20-room luxury hideaway located in the northwest corner of the 107,000-acre Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve in western Belize's Cayo District, 35 km from San Ignacio Cayo. Its remote mountain setting allows guests to explore the ancient civilization of the Maya. The architectural design of the vaulted dwelling roofs allows the smooth flow of natural air that maintains coolness and fresh air flow while allowing guests to hear the sounds of nature. Dining options include poolside Belize restaurant specializing in Guatemalan cuisine, and the main, candle-lit Montagna Restaurant serving Italian cuisine with Coppola family recipes. The Waterfall Spa features a hot pool heated solely by hydroelectricity, spa treatments that use locally sourced organic ingredients, and an open building design utilizing natural light. SEA Belize Annual donations are made by Turtle Inn to SEA Belize - a local Placencia headquartered NGO whose mission is to take a hands-on approach to conservation and management of much of the Southern Barrier Reef.

Rooms

All Riverfront Cabanas feature an expansive deck with a view of the Privassion Creek. The cabanas are themed with native art and local textiles, and offer a queen-sized bed and hand-painted tiled bathroom. Skirting Privassion Creek, these 1600 sq ft villas feature an open-air living room with a small kitchen. Off the living room are two bedrooms, each with its own full bath. The Coppola Villa features luxury in-room amenities including monogrammed bathrobes and wine glasses, locally produced organic bath products, goose down or hypo-allergenic pillows, iPod docking station, Wi-Fi Internet access and a Shellphone intercom system linked to the hideaway's front desk. The Francis Ford Coppola Villa has a full-time attendant. The cottage sits atop a steep forested bluff offering panoramic views over the tumbling waterfalls of Privassion Creek and the distant jungle-clad Maya Mountains. Each room has a hammock.
